I read Josh’s post in his webjournal about loss and there really is a lot of loss going on. One of my good friends, Erin, called me Tuesday night from Tally. She has had a terrible last few weeks. She is from Panama City. Her high school friends back home (the ones who introduced her to her husband)s’ house caught on fire. One died, two were severely injured. One was so injured that they had to fly her to the burn center in Gainesville. She hasn’t seen her yet, but she was told that her friend is unrecognizable and that because of the severity and extent of the burns they can’t skin graph. How the fire happened is they are smokers and would always set the alarms off so they unplugged them and the fire started while they were sleeping. I’m so glad I don’t smoke!!! I wish I could be there for Erin tho because her husband is in iraq until next may and this would be like my losing piya and ben in a fire… 

My last LJ post was pretty whiny. My mood finally got better after getting to work and meeting three new boys who tend to work evening shifts, whereas I tend to open. It turned out that one boy was the cousin of a very close friend from high school and he remembered me coming over to their house everyday after school and watching anime he goes to Penn State now. The other graduated with Megha and Anji’s class and remembered me from school, he a FIJI at Vtech. The third was pretty cute, it was his last day because he got a job working construction. Hs name is Peter. We flirted all night… he went to his orientation at Mary Washington all day yesterday. And I was giving Piya a hard time about Billy. Hey! He’s legal! Plus, I’m only here for 3 more weeks… ;)

Yesterday morn I talked to Tracey and a few other ppls online. Brigette is moving far away and I am so sad.  Im definitely going to make sure that I hang out with everyone from Japanese class more next year bc a lot of us are graduating soon!

A high school friend that I keep bumping into called and we’re going out for a glass of wine this eve. Cunningham picked me up later and we went to the Columbia mall. I tried my first Bubble Tea (David would be very happy to hear this!!!) and we went to the movies next door. We saw War of the Worlds, but it was very disappointing so to redeem out lost money, we theater hopped and saw Bewitched and it was great! I hadn’t seen a movie since Batman Begins so it was a lot of fun, but it did make me think of a certain someone for a quick second and I realized that we barely talk anymore and it makes me sad. 

Later P and I went shopping. Then Piya, Kieth, Shauna and I went to Jesse Wong’s at lakefront and had yummy Chinese food. We hung out at kieth’s a little and then met Hot Mark and his best friend Steve at Steve’s place in Pasadena. Piya kicked some ass at flip cup, and this boy Chris asked if he could call me “Ra” since most people probably call me “Barb” or “Barbara.” I thought that was pretty funny since I had never had anyone do that before. We went home early bc I have to work early this morn AGAIN. I wanted to go to the gym before work and do laundry but I need a Naruto fix so ill go today and early tomorrow. I’m off tonight-tues morn so I might go out to my grandparents’, piya and her fam are going to nj to meet up with family tonight but I am definitely not up for that with my huge work schedule next week. (lots of ppl left, including my favorite manager, so I am gonna be picking up slack until the new ppl are hired, this sucks but its money ne?)

Next week is gonna be fun, Stained/3 Doors Down concert Tues, 6Flags w P and C-ham Wed, work Thurs-Sun but Kieth will actually be home now that his class is over and we can play at the Irish Fishbowl again, yay!
